With the advent of digital photography, I have become more engaged in photography than ever.

 

The control and enhancement of the raw image that is possible with software such as Adobe Lightroom gives photographers the sort of potential to create an image that more closely matches their vision than was ever possible, even in the most expert hands, in a black and white wet darkroom. For me, it's been a revelation.

It's a personal thing but I have no interest in the multi-element imagery possible with Photoshop. 

 

I simply want my pictures to be the best I can make them, expressing as fully as I can convey what any image means to me.
